KB Home Title Services™

KB HOME Title Services, Inc. (“KBHTS”) is an affiliate of KB Home that does business in a number of KB Home’s markets (but operates in Arizona under the name KB HOME Title Services Agency), as the title agent for First American Title Insurance Company. In these markets, First American Title Insurance Company issues the KB homebuyer’s title insurance policy and performs escrow services for the homebuyer’s closing, but as title agent, KBHTS facilitates the issuance of the title insurance commitment and policy by performing title search and examination, to check for liens and any other title exceptions. As disclosed to applicable homebuyers in an Affiliated Business Arrangement Disclosure Statement, KBHTS is compensated for this service as part of the closing costs of the homebuyer’s closing.
